napier
hi all
didnt go to wangenui was advised that to come to this coast is better (some may disagree) it was weird dropping pete off at the tauhara centre at Taupo, cos theres so many memories there for me, and also im on my own now for 4 days with the camper so this is a first, felt a bit wobbly at first but i have had a lovely 2hr drive through more amazing scenery, hills and mountains, i pulled off at a sign for a scenic view, jumped out, went to the edge and there before my eyes materialised a spectacular waterfall!!! that you wouldnt see from the road...so im here in napier havent got a camp site yet but i know theres one back up the road by the bay where pete stayed when he was here, this morning we went to the hot river again in taupo, cos we didnt take a camera last time, it was great fun, we now have taken nearly 300 pics but they are all on our lap top , and i need to get help in an internet place to get em off the laptop onto the blog, might have to put them on the memory stick...ho hum technology
we are staggered and breathless by the beauty of NZ, the people are so friendly, im lost for words
we are picking up some great resources for the violence prevention work, great comments from women and men, and i have a lot of typing to do now, unless i find myself distracted with an adventure, pete and i think of all our families, friends and work mates, you are in our hearts, i love your comments...hi at last dave..hope ireland is good, congrats to my niece carly on passing her driving test, silas is now in thailand..chillin on a beach somewhere i guess, and im off now to plan my evening, i'll be back tomoz
